Mission statement– Music is FUN and one of the most enjoyable experiences one will encounter. It is my sincere desire that my teaching and your support with encouragement, praise, and discipline at home will form an effective team.

Music in Action policies – Please visit MY STUDIO page for a downloadable version of our Policy and 2020- 2021 Calendar. Each year we have two Recitals, one during the winter Holidays (Parents are invited) and a Peer Recital (Students only) in the Fall. Our traditional “treasure“ box for students has been a very popular reinforcement tool.

I enjoy working with all of my students and love to see the sparkle of joy in their eyes. Each year, students 7 years and older have an option to participate in the Federation Junior Festival, Piano Competition. This competition entails learning two compositions performed by memory. In addition, the “Student Day” is a new competition for piano theory and ear training. Remember, these are intended to enhance and prepare the student for the many performing opportunities that present themselves. In our Master Classes, students will discuss and analyze the previous semester’s work, review articles published in “Piano Explorer” (each student receives a copy each month) , and perform their assignments to a small group of peers. Students learn performance and memorization skills, gather a repertoire of music compositions, and gain self-confidence. During the Master Class week, students will be able to attend any one of the four to six class times available.
