The piano behind the atmosphere.
A short reflection on caring for the lounge grand at The Citrus Club in Orlando.

The detail I listen for
The Citrus Club’s setting makes an impression before a note is played. For me, the piano is part of that atmosphere: an instrument that needs to feel welcoming to the artists who sit down at it and sound at home in the room.
Care for a working instrument
The lounge grand is played by local artists. My role is to bring careful listening and piano service to an instrument that contributes to the experience of the space.
The same attention, wherever I work
A performance venue and a private home are different settings, but both deserve thoughtful care. I fine-tune by ear and pay attention to the individual piano’s response, tonal balance, and tuning stability.
