Fine tuning. Thoughtful regulation.
A visit with a Fazioli F228 grand in Apopka, Florida.

Touch and tone together
On this visit, I fine-tuned and regulated a Fazioli F228 grand. The instrument’s touch and tonal character made it a memorable piano to work on.
Two different parts of piano care
Tuning and regulation serve different purposes. Fine tuning balances pitch relationships; regulation attends to the mechanical response of the action. Both can influence how satisfying an instrument is to play.
Care matched to the instrument
Whether I am working on a concert grand or a family upright, I listen to the piano, consider the player’s needs, and discuss the appropriate work before proceeding.
